A house overlooking the sea for 2 people on the Capo Vaticano coast, a few kilometres from Tropea, with a fantastic, unique view.
The writer Giuseppe Berto built six houses in the 1950s in one of the most beautiful places in Calabria. Each house is different. The place is enchanting with a beautiful garden of typical Mediterranean flowers and plants and a vegetable garden for guests.
The night is the place where Giuseppe Berto used to retire to write. The house is situated on the tip of the promontory, with a 180-degree view of the bay below, the sea and the Aeolian islands; in the evening there is a fantastic sunset. It is a simple house but the location and the view are unique. From the terrace there is direct access to the master bedroom, here the stairs lead down to the floor below, where there is a small dining room and in an area outside the house a small kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.
The house has remained the same as it was designed and built by Giuseppe Berto and is thus maintained by the family. The house is not suitable for those seeking luxury, but for those who are looking for a place away from the noise and chaos of everyday life and want to live a few days alone surrounded by sun, sky and sea.
Distances:
Bar 200 m, supermarkets 300 m, restaurant 150 m, beach via a path 300 m (400 steps), Tropea 8 km, Nicotera 18 km, Airport Lamezia Terme 60 km .

“Not sure I can come up the right words to describe this property. I will give it a try anyhow. Perched on a cliff with priceless 360 degree views of the Mediterranean, views of Sicily, Stromboli island and the lush hills to the east it is a magical spot indeed. Looking down from the no less than four terraces one can see the multiple hues of the water below as well as the private beach. It is a rustic house for sure but that is a part of the appeal. Stairs to the beach are a challenge but well worth it. We've stayed at many secluded beach properties but this one is definitely the best so far.”
